NEIL MURPHY
Neil Murphy is a director of TOWN, a developer whose first project, Marmalade Lane Cohousing in Cambridge, has become widely known as an exemplar of contextual, sustainable community-led housing. TOWN’s work-in-progress includes the housing-led regeneration of Wolverton town centre in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council, several cohousing projects nationwide and acting as joint master developer alongside LandSecU+I for Hartree, a new 5,600-home mixed-use quarter of Cambridge. Neil started his career at the Treasury and worked in local government and as a sustainability strategist before co-founding TOWN in 2014. He is Visiting Fellow in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at Newcastle University, an Academician of the Academy of Urbanism and a Fellow of the RSA.
